Yvonne BoudreauYvonne M. Boudreau is senior vice president of mission services for Trinity Health of New England in Hartford, Conn. In her role, Ms. Boudreau partners with mission leaders across the region to fully integrate the mission, core values and Catholic sensibilities within each ministry of the region. She has worked across the ministries to ensure the provision of ministry formation experience for constituents to further advance the maturing of the mission. As a leader within Trinity Health, Ms. Boudreau works closely with executive leaders to ensure dialogue and further the discourse of the work of mission in a fast-changing and evolving health care environment.

Ms. Boudreau has been employed at Calgary General Hospital as the coordinator of Roman Catholic chaplaincy services, Sunnybrook Medical Center, in Toronto, in the pastoral care department, and Roman Catholic chaplain to the veteran hospital. At St. Joseph Health Center in London, Ontario, Canada, she was director of the pastoral care department and went on to St. Joseph Hospital, Orange, Calif., as the executive director of the spiritual care department. She has also served in leadership roles in mission, ethics and pastoral care for St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.; Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady in Monroe, La.; and Sisters of Providence Health System in Springfield, Mass.

Ms. Boudreau obtained a master of divinity degree from the University of Toronto and a bachelor of arts degree in religious studies from Providence College, Providence, R.I. She attended the Center for Training in Psychotherapy in Toronto. Ms. Boudreau was formerly an active member, regionally and nationally, for the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.


Gilberton_Joe_thumblJoel Gilbertson is senior vice president of community partnerships for Providence St. Joseph Health, Renton, Wash. As a member of the executive team at Providence, Mr. Gilbertson leads work to advance public and private partnerships, in alignment with community investments and activities, to create healthier communities. He oversees system-level programs for advocacy, community investment and development, philanthropy, international health and environmental stewardship.

Previously at Providence, Mr. Gilbertson served as vice president of government and public affairs. In that role, he was responsible for developing and advancing the advocacy goals of the organization, as well as working with state and federal agencies to strengthen health programs. He began at Providence in 2005, first serving as chief strategy and administrative officer for the system’s Alaska Region. His portfolio of responsibilities included management information systems, human resources and the physician services organization, a multi-specialty set of physician-led clinics. In addition, he led regional initiatives for health management services, government affairs, communications and marketing, real estate, and development and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Providence, Mr. Gilbertson served as commissioner of the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services. This appointment included oversight of public health, Medicaid, child protection services, senior services, behavioral health and juvenile justice. He also co-chaired the Denali Commission, leading joint federal and state work to develop Alaska’s rural infrastructure and improve access to affordable health care services. Before moving to Alaska, Mr. Gilbertson was legislative director and chief counsel for U.S. Senator Frank Murkowski, focusing on health and social policy, and representing the office on the Senate finance committee.

He holds a juris doctorate from George Washington University Law School and a master of public health degree from George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services.


Janet MeeksJanet Smith Meeks is the author of Gracious Leadership: Lead Like You've Never Led Before. Ms. Meeks has devoted nearly four decades of her professional life to the health care and financial services industries. As a C-suite executive and corporate director, she has vast experience in finance, strategy, operations, marketing, business development and leadership effectiveness.
Ms. Meeks has served in executive roles for four nationally-recognized health care systems, including Trinity Health and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She spent nine years as president of Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio, where she led the organization to peak performance through applying the key ingredients of Gracious Leadership.
As co-founder and CEO of Healthcare Alignment Advisors, Ms. Meeks uses her experience to guide C-suit executives across multiple industries in strategies designed to optimize corporate performance within a positive work environment.
She is a member of Women for Economic and Leadership Development, Women Corporate Directors, National Association of Corporate Directors and Women at the Table.
Her quarterly column, "Leadership to Inspire Results," is featured in Smart Business magazine.

A cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi in banking and finance, Ms. Meeks also earned her master of business administration degree in finance from the University of Mississippi. She was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and received The Wall Street Journal Award for academic excellence in finance.

Patrick McCruden

Patrick McCruden is chief mission integration officer at SSM health, responsible for leading the strategic integration of SSM Health's mission, values, vision and Catholic identity into all aspects of the organization. He works closely with regional mission leaders to establish effectiveness measures for mission, ethics and compliance, as well as identify best practices and initiatives across the system.

Dr. McCruden brings more than 35 years of Catholic health care experience to SSM Health, including 20 years as a mission leader in Iowa and Arkansas. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and chief mission officer for Catholic Health Initiatives-St. Vincent, a four-hospital health system in central Arkansas. He is a board-certified chaplain and also an ordained permanent deacon in the Catholic Church.

A native of New York, Dr. McCruden holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, a master of Theological Studies from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, and a master's degree in Bioethics and Health Policy and a doctorate in Bioethics from Loyola University Chicago.


Michael RogersMichael Rogers is a best-selling author, technology pioneer and futurist, who most recently served as futurist-in-residence for The New York Times. He has worked with organizations ranging from FedEx, Boeing and NBC Universal to Microsoft and JP Morgan, focusing on how companies can think about the future in useful ways. Mr. Rogers has spoken to many health care sectors, from Blue Cross and the American Hospital Association to pharmaceutical companies, hospital networks and even Weight Watchers. He is also a regular guest on radio and television.

Mr. Rogers began his career as a writer for Rolling Stone magazine. He co-founded Outside magazine and then launched Newsweek’s technology column, winning numerous journalism awards. For 10 years he was vice president of The Washington Post Company's new media division, leading both the newspaper and Newsweek into the new century and earning patents for multimedia technology. He is also a best-selling novelist whose books have been published worldwide, chosen for the Book-of-the-Month club and optioned for film.  

Mr. Rogers studied physics and creative writing at Stanford University, with additional studies in finance and management at the Stanford Business School Executive Program. He lives in New York City and is currently working on book and television projects.
