Facilities within Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives have announced these changes: Chad S. Aduddell to interim market chief executive for CHI St. Vincent in Little Rock, Ark., from executive vice president and chief operating officer of CHI St. Vincent and president of CHI St. Vincent Infirmary of Little Rock. He succeeds Peter Banko, who in September became CHI senior vice president of operations and chief integration officer. Also, Joseph Messmer to interim president of CHI St. Alexius Health of Bismarck, N.D., from interim president of CHI Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, N.D. Additionally, James M. Hobson has resigned as chief executive of CHI Memorial in Chattanooga, Tenn. Ricky Napper, CHI Memorial senior vice president and chief operating officer, will lead the organization on an interim basis.
ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES Tony Rothermich to administrator of Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy, Mo. The facility, which formerly was Lincoln County Medical Center, became part of Mercy of Chesterfield, Mo., March 1. Mercy Hospital St. Louis President Jeff Johnston also leads Mercy Hospital Lincoln.
Vincent M. Costantino to chief administrative officer at St. Francis Medical Center of Trenton, N.J.
Cheryl Harmon to chief financial officer at St. Vincent of Indianapolis.
Bernadette O'Shea to vice president and chief development officer for the Saint Anthony Hospital Foundation of Chicago.
Dr. Harold Johnston to chief executive for Providence Medical Group Alaska of Anchorage, Alaska.
HONORS Kevin E. Lofton, chief executive of Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, is the recipient of the Gold Medal Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives. The award is ACHE's highest individual honor for outstanding leadership, according to information from CHI. Also receiving the award this year is Richard J. Umbdenstock, president and chief executive of the American Hospital Association.
CHA President and Chief Executive Officer Sr. Carol Keehan, DC, will accept the Robert M. Holstein Faith Doing Justice Award from the Ignatian Solidarity Network on April 16. The annual award recognizes leaders who have committed themselves to promoting social justice in the spirit of St. Ignatius of Loyola. St. Ignatius founded the Society of Jesus. The Ignatian Solidarity Network is a national, nonprofit social
justice network led by laity.
GIFT The Children's Hospital of San Antonio has received a $5 million gift from the H-E-B supermarket chain toward a new emergency department.
