2008 Community Benefit Guide
The 2008 Edition of A Guide for Planning and Reporting Community Benefit has been updated to be consistent with the recently released IRS instructions for submitting community benefit information on the new IRS Form 990 Schedule H for Hospitals.
The Guide also contains new information from the field of community benefit, including:
- A chapter for people and organizations new to community benefit planning and reporting.
- Revised guidelines for planning and evaluating community benefit programs based on public health principles.
- New tools and resources to help not-for-profit hospitals more effectively communicate their community benefit story.
- Contributions from the Association of Academic Medical Centers, the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions and the National Rural Health Association to assure that the guide are a valuable resource for all types of not-for-profit health care organizations.

The Guide is now free to members, and half of the original price for nonmembers. Shipping rates will be applied to members and nonmembers.
