How do you define environmental responsibility at your organization?
The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it. — Psalm 24:1.
What excites you and motivates you for the work you do?
Sustainability
has a triple bottom line effect. I love that it sustains our communities, our
environment, as well as provides good financial stewardship practices, too.
What issue is keeping you awake at night?
A sense that
our Earth may be beyond the tipping point in the global effort to fight the
man-made contributions of climate change.
What gives you hope about the Catholic health care ministry?
We know that
God's creation is a gift to us and deserves our reverence and protection.
For those who may be considering a career in environmental
responsibility, do you have any advice or guidance to offer them as they consider this option? What about for those who are new to the environmental
responsibility role?
First, make
environmental stewardship an ethos to live by every day! Remember that all of
humanity and all of the earth are linked and dependent on each other.
