Feast of St. Francis
The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on Oct. 4 annually is a time when those in Catholic health ministry — and all people — can celebrate God's creation.
So that you can share the important message of our responsibility to steward the earth's resources, CHA is again offering numerous resources for use at meetings, events and, hopefully, throughout the year.
On-Demand PowerPoints for Use in Associate Education
CHA, funded through a grant by the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change (CCCC) and the National Religious Partnership for the Environment, has developed five on-demand educational modules that are short and to the point for use in Catholic health care. Developed in collaboration with Practice Greenhealth and the CCCC, the topics and leaders narrating each include:
- Mission and the Environment, with Fr. Thomas Nairn, OFM, Ph.D., of CHA.
- Leadership Engagement, with Colleen Scanlon, RN, JD, of Catholic Health Initiatives.
- Getting Started, with Julie Trocchio of CHA.
- Creating Dashboards, with Janet Brown of Practice Greenhealth (coming soon).
- The Catholic Climate Covenant — How Health Care is an Essential Partner, with Dan Misleh of the CCCC.
In addition, please take advantage of this day to share other environmental resources created as part of CHA's Faithfully Healing the Earth initiative, as well as taking the St. Francis pledge and accessing additional information from CHA and other organizations:
