Willie Simms received life-saving advice about prostate cancer while getting his hair cut.

During a visit to barber Ray Bufford at Ray's Clippers, Simms received information about prostate cancer screening, courtesy of Covenant Cancer Care in Milwaukee.

Covenant developed the Barbershop Initiative as a way to raise awareness of prostate and colon cancer prevention and detection among African-American men, who face disproportionate risks for these diseases and who often face barriers to prompt and successful treatment as well.
