
Ed Giganti is vice president,
communications and marketing, for the Catholic Health Association of the United
States. He is based in the Association's St. Louis office. Mr. Giganti is
responsible for creating and implementing communications strategies that support
the association's strategic priorities. Additionally, he oversees CHA's media:
Health Progress, the journal published six times annually; Catholic
Health World, the biweekly newspaper; and the association's website. Mr.
Giganti also directs the annual Catholic Health Assembly, the national gathering
of leaders of the Church's health ministry. He is responsible for planning and
coordinating the three-day learning, networking, and renewal event. Prior to his
appointment as vice president, he was CHA's senior director, ministry leadership
and development, with responsibility for increasing ministry-wide attention to
the formation of leaders for the future of Catholic health care. Before joining
CHA in 1989, Mr. Giganti directed community relations offices in two Catholic
hospitals.
