A Commitment To Caring:
The Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA) released the findings of a study confirming the prominent role that many Catholic hospitals play in the health care safety net in November of 2002. The research, which has a potential bearing on future public policy, was conducted by Georgetown University's Institute for Health Care Research and Policy. The study is based on case studies of seven Catholic hospitals and their roles in their community's health care safety net.
