    Affinity Meetings
    LeadershipForHealing_smallDoes your leadership team, board or other group need to meet while at the assembly? Make the most of your time together by scheduling an affinity meeting. To reserve space for your own system, facility or special group, simply complete the Affinity Request Form. For more information, please contact Adele Gianino or call (314) 253-3443.

    Suggested Dress
    CHA encourages "business casual" attire during the assembly.

    Overall Learning Objectives
    After attending the 2012 Catholic Health Assembly, participants will be able to:

    • Reflect on and discuss the connection of their daily service in leadership to the mission of the Catholic health ministry.
    • Describe the mission, scope and diversity of the Catholic health ministry in the United States.
    • Implement leading practices and program strategies used by Catholic health systems and facilities within their own organizations.

    Continuing Education

    Executives: The Catholic Health Association is authorized to award 7.25 hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit (non-ACHE) for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit should indicate their attendance when submitting application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.

    Nursing Home Administrators: This educational offering has been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and approved for 19.75 clock hours and 7.25 participant hours.

    Registered Nurses: This activity has been submitted to the Missouri Nurses Association for approval to award nursing contact hours. The Missouri Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

    Pastoral Care: This program will be submitted to the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) for continuing education approval.

    Social Workers: This activity is pending approval from the National Association of Social Workers.

    Special Needs
    The Philadelphia Downtown Marriott is accessible to persons with special needs. CHA will assist individuals with lodging, meals and programming, if the request is received in advance. On the registration form, please check the appropriate box for a CHA staff member to contact you.

    Notices
    During the assembly, you may be photographed, videotaped and/or recorded by CHA staff or its designated contractors. By your attendance or participation at the assembly, or affinity event, you agree that CHA may photograph, copy, record and/or distribute in any such form your participation and involvement in any assembly session, activity or event. No persons or organizations other than CHA or its designated contractors may photograph, audiotape or videotape any portion of the assembly without prior written permission of CHA. CHA reserves the right to change speakers or to modify program content.

    CHA will provide an assembly registrant list to "Friends of the Assembly" sponsoring organizations. The generous support from these sponsors helps keep the registration fees low for CHA-member attendees. CHA will share only registrant names, mailing addresses and e-mail addresses (as indicated on the registration forms). Sponsors agree to use the registrant list only once.
